We encourage our pupils to live healthily and we are a ‘Healthy School’
School Cooked Lunches
Our kitchen, managed by Oxfordshire County Council Catering, provides a fresh, healthy, varied and tasty lunch menu, encouraging all our pupils to take and enjoy the important mid-day meal – eating well and stimulating an interest in food and nutrition.
- cook all meals on site in our school kitchen
- have 3 choices of balanced meals on offer every day
- use fresh food from local suppliers with deliveries daily
- use natural sugars where possible
- ensure meals contain fibre, protein, starchy carbohydrates, vitamins, iron and other essential minerals to keep our children fuelled.
- Provide a choice of vegetables, salad and fresh fruit every day
We do not:
- Use deep fat fryers
- Use genetically modified ingredients
We encourage all our children to have school lunches and to try new meals. You don’t have to have school lunches every day – you can have them on some days and a packed lunch on others – you choose. School Meals cost £2.50 per pupil per day.
Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 receive school lunches for free under the Universal Free School Meals intiative as well as being provided with fruit at break times.
Children who qualify for Pupil Premium also receive free school meals.
If you are receiving benefits then your child may qualify for Free School Meals as part of your child's Pupil Premium entitlement. Information about how to claim this is available from the school office or download the information from the links below:
School Lunch Menu: Autumn/Winter 2023
All school meals need to be booked in advance (even if you are in receipt of universal or free school meals) using ParentPay. This is to ensure your child receives a meal they expect and is suitable to their dietary needs.
Meals can be ordered and paid for on a weekly basis or for multiple weeks at a time and must be booked by 9am on a Wednesday for meals starting on the following week.
