Sometimes there are exceptional reasons why your child cannot be in school and this absence must be given in writing. Absence for holidays during term time cannot be authorised and you may be issued with a Penalty Notice if there are more than 6 sessions (3 days) marked as ‘unauthorised’ in one term.
