Teaching Assistant- 1:1 SEND - Part Time

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard working person to join our dedicated team. The role will be supporting a child with an Educational and Health Care Plan (EHCP) in Year 2 on a 1:1 basis.

The TA will work closely with the child’s class teacher and the SENDCo to ensure that the provision for the pupil is supporting their needs as specified in the EHCP.

Key areas of work to include:

  • To meet and greet the child to ensure that transition from home to school is positive.
  • To make the child feel safe, happy and cared for at the school.
  • To implement learning activities to enable the child to have access to the planned and a personalised curriculum.
  • Lunchtime supervision

We are looking for someone who has the following attributes:

  • Has previous experience of working with children within a classroom or similar environment.
  • Relevant qualifications and training with good English and Maths skills.
  • An ability to use ICT effectively to support learning.
  • Has an empathetic understanding of children’s emotions and behaviour and actively seeks to remove barriers to learning.
  • Is flexible and adaptable to the daily changing life of the school.
  • Uses own initiative to ensure all learners achieve the best outcomes.
  • Has a ‘can do’ attitude with high aspirations for themselves and children.

Teaching Assistant, Nursery Class 1:1 SEND - Full Time

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard working person to join our dedicated team. The role will be supporting a child with additional needs in our Nursery on a 1:1 basis for 0.5 and the other 0.5 as a general classroom support TA.

Key areas of work to include:

  • To meet and greet the child to ensure that transition from home to school is positive.
  • To make the child feel safe, happy and cared for at the school.
  • To implement learning activities to enable the child to have access to the planned and a personalised curriculum.
  • To support all children within the Nursery to access learning activities.
  • Lunchtime supervision
