School Streets Project
Our School Streets project starts on Wednesday 12th May 2021 and will run until Friday 18th June 2021 during term time. This is a pilot scheme being run by Oxfordshire County Council and Sustrans.
The scheme means that Cartmel will be closed to school traffic from 8.30am - 9.15am to create a safer space for walking and cycling to school.
A 'Park and Stride' location will be set up at Whitelands Farm Park car park which is a safe 5-10 minute walk to the Cartmel entrance to school. Families are encourages to take the opportunity to walk, cycle, scoot and wheel to school where they can.
The school street is an Experimental Traffic Regulation Order which means that feedback is welcomed on the project.
